Meet Our Founding Team

Our team comprises dedicated professionals with diverse expertise in AI, technology, and ethics, committed to advancing the responsible integration of AI across various sectors.

Dr. Ron Dolin

Founder, President, & CEO

Ron has a broad interdisciplinary background that includes science, technology, business, philosophy, law, design, and more.  He holds a BA in math and physics, a Ph.D. in computer science, and a JD. He was one of the first 50 employees at Google, working as a software developer, team leader, and project/program manager for years, working across multiple departments. He started the quality evaluation team, and has written and spoken extensively about quality metrics. Prior to grad school, Ron worked at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland for several years, with people from across the world. He is a licensed attorney in California. Ron has taught at Stanford, Notre Dame, and Harvard law schools. He co-edited and co-wrote Legal Informatics (Cambridge University Press, 2021). He has had training as a communicator, and has managed multi-million dollar projects to completion involving multiple diverse teams. He has co-led design workshops. Finally, he's been an angel investor for several decades, often focusing on legal tech startups.

Dr. Chris Mammen

Advisor

Chris is a top IP litigator and noted legal scholar. He has held visiting faculty positions at UC Berkeley, Stanford, and Oxford, where he received a Ph.D. in Law. Chris serves on the Advisory Boards for the annual Berkeley-Stanford Advanced Patent Law Institute, and for the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology, the top ranked IP program in the U.S. He is currently a partner at Womble Bond Dickinson.

Mary O'Carroll

Advisor

Mary has held several senior positions leading legal operations, both at top law firms and in-house at Google, and co-founded CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium).  She is currently COO at Goodwin.
